I have both an XT22 and a 795. The XT likes CCI SV, the 795 is stoopid accurate with 36gr Mini Mags. The 795 also does well with Remington GB's and Federal AM, the XT sprays GB's all over the paper and prints 1" groups with the Feds. It just wasn't in the same class as my Glenfield model 60. So I sold it (at a profit) and purchased a Remington 597hb. I have the 7000 which is the heavy barrelled version of the 795 w/o sights. It's a excellent rifle BTW except for a heavy trigger pull. The groove is a standard 3/8th dovetail grove people have been puting in 22s forever. To me at least all the Marlin semis seem to be based on the model 60 receiver or something darn close.
